Northpyre: Self

A photograph of Northpyre: Self. The cover is in style resembling prehistoric rock paintings and has a human figure with a spiral as their head.

A micro-RPG of existential weight, set in the enspirited stone-age world of Northpyre. Every tree, river, and animal hums with its own spirit. You walk the spiral path with a flint knife in hand, seeking the true name of a sickness afflicting your tribe. Your Self – a separate, enigmatic presence – walks within you, guiding or resisting your steps.

Five trials blur the physical and spiritual, winding through ancient forests and into the psyche’s shadowed depths.

Played with a single d20, this 15-30 minute game is light in form, heavy in tone – a haunting passage through myth, hunger, and the unknown. For one player and a GM.

“If this is the edge of the spiral, what lies at the center?”
