Northpyre: Council

Cover art for Northpyre: Council. There are three figures drawn in style that looks like prehistoric rock art. On the bottom, there is a human stick figure with a spiral for a head, wielding a short implement in one hand and a long one in the other. The long implement's tip is painted red. On the top left, there's a wolf with a red head. On the top right, there's an elk with a red head and a red dot in its side.

Late autumn. Three tribes gather at the river bend where territories meet. Few Bear. Many Wolf. Enough Elk.

Food grows scarce. Old wounds reopen.

Promises bind. Insults linger. Broken oaths become blood-feuds.

Three days to decide what survival costs.

You are a Bear Tribe elder.

You do not rule. You negotiate survival.

Uses a single d20. For one player and a GM.

The GM plays six people with competing agendas, two tribes, and no correct answer.

A political micro-RPG for 1 player and a GM, played with a single d20 in 60-90 minutes. Part of the Northpyre line.

For fans of: Ursula K. Le Guin, Kim Stanley Robinson, David Graeber
